Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Champion & Martial Arts Athlete, Instructor and Competitor

Greg Ricker started training in 2006 in order to chase skills and have fun, rather than belts and stripes. It would be an understatement to say competition is his life, as training and fighting are part of who he is.

Greg Ricker wants to push his body past its limits sparking a competitive spirit that propels him to the top. Greg has succeeded in gaining his Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in May 2023 in Las Vegas. This is the culmination of years of support and influence of skilled fighters, which has paved his way to 50 Championships one of which was a superfight belt.

Competitions Greg Ricker has taken part in include the Canadian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation 4 gold medal sweeps in all Gi and Nogi Absolute categories, and a number of gold medal winning streaks in gi and nogi absolute competitions at the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. The Rocky Mountain Classic Jiu Jitsu Championship in 2015, four gold medals in my division and open categories in 2016. Winning time and time again is proof of his discipline and preparation.

For Greg Jiu Jitsu, finds the warrior within and when channeled properly can bring out the best in all of us. It is a practice that provides social, mental and physical well-being. It allows him to find his strengths, test his abilities, and learn his limitations through training. Greg focuses on being a patient and a tactful communicator in order to learn the lesson, and the retention and retrieval of skills. This martial art is about perspective and self control rather than ego. Greg always exhibits sportsmanlike behavior in order to be a good role model and a good influence, as he knows a positive experience plays a key role in developing excellent traits in others and will leave his legacy for future fighters.

His professor is Rafael Domingos, and that my lineage is directly tied to him at Team Domingos in Las Vegas, Nevada, and further tied to the Demian Maia Association in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He’s hosted and instructed a number of successful brazilian jiu jitsu seminars, and open to booking more! I’m currently working on opening a studio to instruct an impressive jiu jitsu training system for new and experienced jiu jitsu student athletes.
